Urban Craft Swag 101

Urban Craft Uprising

The countdown has officially begun for the largest indie craft fair in Seattle! Three weeks from today you will find us at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, setting up for the Urban Craft Uprising Summer Show, and we could not be more excited! As a vendor, we are honored to join this highly competitive juried show full of extremely talented artisans from across North America. Everyone is bringing their A game, and their swag, which is what we really want to talk about today.

As a guest (which we encourage you all to be!), there are a few things we want you to know about before arriving at the show.

  1. Its FREE!
  2. There will be super yummy food vendors, so come hungry! We got our booth assignments this week, and we are near a gluten free pastry booth, so yah, you know where to find me.
  3. It’s all about the SWAG BAGS:BL_swag
    The first 100 people through the door on Saturday (June 25) get one of the famous Urban Craft Swag Bags. Each vendor contributes quality hand-crafted inventory to be included in the bags, and we’ve just sent off an awesome selection from Bobbin’s Lullaby. {no peaking, you’ll have to get in line to see what we have in store!} Each bag may be different, but will be filled with coveted items for you to take home, enjoy, or gift to others.
  4. Doors open at 11AM:
    However, if you really really want one of the swag bags, we highly recommend getting in line early. The line often starts to form as early as 8AM, and can be seen wrapping around to Key Arena. {don’t say we didn’t worn you!} Not into the huge crowds? Afternoons between 2-5pm will be your best bet because the crowds calm, and there isn’t that initial swag bag rush. =)
  5. Location/Parking:
    The Exhibition Hall is located at 301 Mercer Street in Seattle, right next to McCaw Hall. If you are able, we highly encourage you take public transit to the show. There is free street parking on SUNDAYS ONLY.  Other convenient parking options are:
    * Mercer Garage (Third Avenue N. & Roy Street)
    * 1st Avenue North Garage (between John and Thomas Street)
    * 5th Ave N Garage (Fifth Avenue N. & Republican Street)
  6. Come to shop and support handmade artisans:
    Each vendor is busy working their tail feathers off getting ready for the show, and we are all so excited to share our work with you. But most importantly come have fun on a gorgeous summer day in the Pacific Northwest. Do you want to preview the vendors participating? Click here!

We will be sure to update you with more information, but for now, be sure to mark your calendars and start planning a fun weekend in Seattle!

I can’t wait to see you there, so be sure to stop by and say hi,
